About The Griot

The Griot is an Afrocentric ezine that features poetry, prose and any objective commentary on Africa. We seek new, unpublished talents from Africa. Every week, we shall be featuring a new African writer. We invite you to submit your best work.

For poetry, send 3 - 5 poems 

For short stories, send 1000 - 2500 words 

For essays, send 1000 - 15000 words 

Send submissions to pryncemensah@gmail.com. Submissions must be in Microsoft Word. Write your name and the genre of your submission in the SUBJECT line of your email. Submissions that do not adhere to guidelines will be promptly deleted.

If your work is chosen, you will be contacted for an interview by phone or by mail. There will be a request for your picture.
